The details: NSW Public Sphere: Government 2.0

Doors will now open at 7.15am for a breakfast screening of Us Now.

The Us Now movie “takes a look at how this type of participation could transform the way that countries are governed." It uses overseas examples of how “the governed” are using technology to change modes of participation. (And it tells this story in an easy to understand and watchable way).

If you can’t make the full day of NSW Public Sphere: Government 2.0, it’s worth coming along to the screening to see some of the possibilities how Gov 2.0 is transforming participation overseas.

The registration desk will also be open from 7.30am.

  • Topic: Government 2.0 in NSW
  • Date: Friday 4 September 2009
  • Schedule: Will be linked below by the 21st August. There will be 3 speakers per hour with 15 mins for questions with simultaneous online discussion. We will also be running a panel on the day about managing risk.
  • Place: Parliament House, Macquarie St Sydney.
  • Internet: Will of course be available for attendees, details on the day.
  • Coffee and refreshments: Available on the day
  • Parking or Transport: There is no parking at Parliament House but there is access by train and bus.
  • Time: 9 for a 9.30 start  till 5 pm.
  • Social Media: Twitter: #nswsphere or blog: nswsphere or ”NSWsphere”. Post questions on the day to #NSWsphere prepended with “QUESTION: “. Liveblogging will also be happening where non-Twitters can post comments into the liveblog interface. Will be linked closer to the day.
